Nicholas Nixon is especially known for his work in portraiture and documentary photography. In his series "people with AIDS," depicts an austere look at the disease. This exhibition is showcased at the ICA.

Mapplethorpe photographed in black and white, especially focused on friends, lovers, and others in his community. This work sprung from his interest in the male body, especially the idealized male body and it's flaws.
